SIGULDA, LATIVA (December 15, 2024) - Team USA competed in the last IBSF World Cup races before the 2024 holiday season this weekend.

Kaysha Love slid into redemption this season on the Latvian track with a third-place finish in 2-Woman bobsled alongside push athlete Jasmine Jones with a combined time of 1:49.22, following two crashes last season on the Latvian track. This medal marked the first bobsled World Cup podium finish of the season for Team USA.

“This was a very exciting race for Jasmine and I as last year we unfortunately crashed. So to come back a year later and to successfully make it down was such a fun experience to end the first half of the season. I’m really proud of Jasmine and her pushes,” shared Love.

“Having this podium finish with Kaysha has been a memorable experience! To have the turnaround from last year's race to this year has been incredible and I’m proud of our achievement,” Jones elaborated on their exciting medal moment.

Also in 2-Woman bobsled, Kaillie Armburster Humphries alongside Emily Renna placed tenth with a two-heat time of 1:50.61. Elana Meyers Taylor and Azaria Hill placed 11th with a time of 1:50.75.

In Men’s Bobsled, Saturday and Sunday brought back-to-back 2-Man races instead of the typical one day of 2-Man and one day of 4-Man racing seen in World Cup races on other tracks. In Race 1 for Team USA, push athlete Carsten Vissering made his 2-Man World Cup debut alongside pilot Frankie Del Duca. The pair placed 11th with a two-run time of 1:40.31.
