Athlete Member – A ($100): All individuals age 18 and over planning to participate in bobsled or skeleton (including camps and schools).

- Opportunity to participate in USABS sanctioned events, if athlete meets selection criteria
- Secondary sports accident insurance while participating in USABS sanctioned events
- Voting privileges in elections for athlete directors of the USABS board
- Voting privileges on amendments to the bylaws where required by the New York Non-Profit Statute, the bylaws, or otherwise determined by the board
- Voting privileges on amendments to the certificate of incorporation
- Periodic emails containing special offers and discounts
*All Athlete applicants must sign and return the USABS Physical and Waiver, complete a background check, and complete SafeSport Training before membership can be processed and completed. Details will be provided within the email confirmation for your membership. Physicals are the financial responsibility of each athlete. Physicals cannot be performed by a USABS or USOPC medical provider the first year of the quad.
Junior Athlete Member – J ($65): All individuals under age 18 planning to participate in bobsled or skeleton (including camps and schools).

*All Junior Athlete applicants must sign and return the USABS Physical and Waiver before membership can be processed and completed. Physicals are the financial responsibility of each athlete. Physicals cannot be performed by a USABS or USOPC medical provider the first year of the quad.
One Month Trial Membership– ($25): Individuals participating in an introductory, recruitment or screening camp, or school hosted by the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA), Utah Olympic Park (UOP), and USABS. Athletes serving as brakemen for bobsled on a limited-time and training-only basis are eligible to purchase a trial membership. This membership is not valid for competition and will cover training activities only.
- Athletes may purchase a one month trial membership no more than once per year (June 30-July 1). If membership is needed for more than four weeks (consecutive or non-consecutive) in a year, a full athlete or junior athlete membership must be purchased.
- Athletes who purchase a trial membership will have the option to upgrade to a full athlete or junior athlete membership within 30 days following the expiration of their trial membership. Upgraded memberships will expire June 30 to coincide with the regular membership cycle of July 1-June 30.
- The trial membership will provide athletes with secondary sports accident insurance coverage under the USABS’s policy while participating in training-related activities during the valid dates of the membership. Claims are subject to a $1,000 deductible with a maximum expense benefit of $50,000.
- Athlete physicals and waivers are required for the purchase of a trial membership.
- Other benefits associated with full athlete/junior athlete memberships are not included.

Club Organization – E ($150): Bobsled and skeleton clubs
- Membership in a community dedicated to the advancement of sliding sports in the United States
- General liability insurance for USABS sanctioned events
- Voting privileges on amendments to the bylaws where required by the New York Non-Profit Statute, the bylaws, or otherwise determined by the board
- Voting privileges on amendments to the certificate of incorporation
- Periodic emails containing special offers and discounts
*All Club Organization applicants must sign and return the Athlete Code of Conduct before membership can be processed and completed.
Technical Member – B ($20): Coaches and USA IBSF officials
- Membership in a community dedicated to the advancement of sliding sports in the United States
- Voting privileges on amendments to the bylaws where required by the New York Non-Profit Statute, the bylaws, or otherwise determined by the board
- Voting privileges on amendments to the certificate of incorporation
- Periodic emails containing special offers and discounts
*All Technical Member applicants must complete a background check, and complete SafeSport Training online before membership can be processed and confirmed. Details will be provided within the email confirmation for your membership.
General Member – G ($20): All individuals who would like to support USABS and its member athletes. Specifically, USABS Board Members and Committee Members fall into this category. Board and Committee Members are also required to complete background checks and SafeSport Training online before membership can be processed. Volunteers that do not have regular contact with an/or authority of athletes also fall into this membership category but do NOT need to complete background training or SafeSport.
