Double Celebration: Love and Meyers Taylor Win World Championship Medals in Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID, NY (March 9, 2025) - Kaysha Love and Elana Meyers Taylor claimed gold and bronze in Women’s Monobob, Team USA’s second day in a row winning World Championship gold on home ice.

After ending Heat 2 yesterday in first, Love maintained her lead, finishing with a combined four-run time of 3:57.82. Meyers Taylor, placing third, had a combined time of 3:58.82. Kaillie Armbruster Humphries placed eighth with a time of 3:59.50.

“I don’t even have words!” shared Love right after winning gold. “I’m thinking sometime tomorrow it’ll probably set in what we just did but at the end of the day, I know I couldn’t have done it without my incredible teammates, coaches, my family and my support system”.

“It feels absolutely incredible,” Meyers Taylor described while discussing winning World Championship bronze. “I was going for the win, but I am super excited for any medal, because it didn’t have to happen! It really is a big team effort and the team really came together to help Kaysha and I win these medals, and it’s super exciting,”.

In 2-Man Bobsled, Frankie Del Duca alongside Charlie Volker placed fourth with a four-run time of 3:40.38. Kris Horn raced with Josh Williamson in Heats One and Two, and Hunter Powell in Heats 3 and Four. He placed ninth with a combined time of 3:42.72, climbing an astonishing 13 spots in Day 2 of racing after a crash in Heat One left him in 22nd at the end of Day One. Geoff Gadbois alongside Bryce Cheek placed 12th with a combined total time of 3:43.17.
