USA Bobsled and Skeleton Hall of Fame Inductees Celebrated Over Two Weekends at IBSF World Championships in Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID, NY (February 20, 2025) – The United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation will host its Hall of Fame induction during the 2025 IBSF World Championships in Lake Placid, NY. The Lake Placid venue is hosting the World Championships for the 11th time in its history. They previously held the prestigious event in 1949, ‘61, ‘69, ‘73, ‘78, ‘83, ‘97, ‘03, ‘09 and 2012. Among the highlights of this two-week event will be the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Hall of Fame induction ceremony, featuring 14 new members.
The inductions will be split over the two weekends of racing with the focus on skeleton the first weekend and bobsled the 2nd weekend.
Weekend one will showcase the headfirst sport legends of skeleton which includes 2002 Olympic Silver Medalist Lea Ann Parsley-Davenport, 2007 World Championship Silver Medalist Eric Bernotas and Lenny Kasten who was the long-time General Manager of the US Bobsled and Skeleton teams.
Weekend two will be represented by three amazing Olympic Medal-winning bobsled teams; the 1932 Saranac Lake Red Devils team led by Henry Homburger, the 1948 Gold Medal winning 4-man team led by Francis Tyler and lastly 2002 4-man Silver medalists Todd Hays, Garrett Hines and Bill Schuffenhauer. Randy Jones, a member of that team and 2021 USABS Hall of Fame inductee, will be attending as well.
The Hall of Fame events will begin at 5:30pm on March 8th and 15th. It is all open to the public and will be held in the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Lodge. There is no admission charge.
Among the induction speakers will be USABS Hall of Fame Director Tuffy Latour and NBC commentator John Morgan.
