As a high school athlete, Hillary Werth was Illinois State Champion in 2004 in the 100-meter hurdles with the second fastest mark in Illinois prep history at the time. Werth graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2009 with a B.A. in History – Art History. While at UCLA, Werth was a heptathlete on a full scholarship for track and field and was a three-time Pac-10 Track & Field Championship Team member for the UCLA bruins in heptathlon and javelin. Due to battling injury her entire college career and having to red shirt a season, her college athletic career was cut short.
