USA BOBSLED/SKELETON ANNOUNCES THE ATHLETES COMPETING IN THE FIRST WEEK OF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

WINTERBERG, GERMANY (February 21, 2024) - USA Bobsled/Skeleton has officially announced its list of athletes who will be representing Team USA in the first week of the upcoming World Championships. Events kick off on the 22nd with Men’s and Women’s Skeleton February 22-23 and a Skeleton Mixed Team competition scheduled for the 24th. On the bobsled side of things, there will be 2-Man and Women’s Monobob competitions on the 24th and 25th. 


In Women’s Skeleton, Mystique Ro will be competing. In Men’s Skeleton, Dan Barefoot and Austin Florian will be racing. 


In Women’s Monobob, Elana Meyers-Taylor, Kaysha Love, and Sylvia Hoffman will be sliding. In 2-Man Bobsled, Frank Del Duca will be racing with Manteo Mitchell and Kris Horn will be competing alongside Hakeem Abdul-Saboor.


“We are so excited to compete in the World Championships and represent Team USA. We have an extremely talented pool of athletes and are looking forward to see what Winterberg has in store for us,” shared Curt Tomasevicz, Director of Sport Performance for USA Bobsled/Skeleton.


The second week of races will begin March 1st and last through March 3rd, comprising of four heats of both 2-Woman and 4-Man bobsled. The athletes who will be competing in this second weekend will be announced shortly.
